ein mann und seine geige. owen pallett steht alleine auf der bühne und wenn man dem kanadier dabei zuschaut, wie er mit einem einzigen instrument melodie um melodie loopt und übereinanderstapelt, kann einem sehr schnell schwindlig werden. mittlerweile sind es allerdings nicht nur pallet’s liveshows, sondern auch seine studioaufnahmen, die ein beträchtliches niveau erreicht haben. sein drittes album heartland, für welches er zum ersten mal seinen eigenen namen und nicht sein pseudonym final fantasy verwendete, gehört auf jeden fall zu den letztjährigen favoriten des mainstream-teams.

the thermals! endlich wieder! schon 2 jahre sind seit ihrem konzert im volkshaus in basel vergangen und so ist es also allerhöchste zeit, dass das power pop-trio endlich mal in der schweiz vorbeischaut. am montag, dem 11. april 2011, spielt die band aus portland im kiff in aarau. wir sind dort dabei und ihr solltet es auch sein. keine widerrede!
